WHO OWNS BLACKBERRY FARM IN TENESSEE?
Florida and Dave Lasier first purchased and named Blackberry Farm in the 1930s for their dream home. (Florida is the one who snagged her stocking on a blackberry bramble and named the farm after the mishap.) Then, in 1976, three local families purchased the Blackberry property and other tracts along the Chilhowee Mountain ridgeline to preserve the land they loved so much. One of the families, the Bealls, eventually built their family home and realized the vision for hospitality, creating the incredible farmstead and resort you see today.
